Health Tourism Project of the Year&Award to Medipol

City Awards of Turkey's most prestigious organization which could not be held in 2020 due to severe course of the COVID19 Pandemic, was held in Ardahan, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of its Liberation from Enemy Occupation. T C Ministry of Culture and Tourism and T C Ministry of Science and Technology supported the activities, which limited the number of participants and the duration of the ceremony within the scope of the COVID-19 measures.

Medipol Education and Health Group Corporate Marketing and International Patient Services Coordinator Uygar Üstün said the following:

In addition to its representative offices in many countries such as Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Algeria, Kosovo and Uzbekistan, it accepts patients from Iraq, Libya, Kosovo, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Romania, Bahrain and Macedonia with the cooperation at the level of the Ministry of Health. Medipol Mega University Hospital International Patient Services department offers non-stop service with a team of 230 people. The International Patient Services Department, which offers services in 30 languages, also offers accommodation, transfer and interpretation services so that patients feel the most comfortable during their treatment. 

Noting that as of 2020, the need for online services in the health sector has increased with the pandemic after the COVID-19 outbreak, Üstün also stated that Medipol's "My Doctor Online" service provides the patients living abroad with the opportunity to have video and audio conversations with their physicians before their travels, and that the post-treatment processes continue regularly.

The “Health Tourism Project of the Year” award was presented to the Corporate Communications Manager Serpil Çevik, representing the Medipol Health and Education Group at the ceremony where one of the most powerful locomotives of the tourism industry was awarded in the field of health tourism.

28 Awards were delivered to their owners within the scope of 'Turkey City Awards 2020 "Ardahan" which has Ardahan University Aşık Şenlik Cultural Center, Ardahan Governor Hüseyin Öner, Ardahan Protocol, Ardahan University and Ardahan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Partnership, Çıldır District Governorship, Çıldır Municipality and many business partners. Ardahan and surrounding provincial deputies, rectors, bureaucrats, leaders of civil society and commercial organizations, and general secretaries of development agencies took part in the event, which was attended by city leaders.
