Medical Oncology

Our Medical Oncology team consists of three faculty members from medical oncology and chemotherapy performance doctors (academic clinicians), 10 clinical nurses, 8 chemotherapy nurses, 4 biologists, and 1 pharmacist. We provide services, such as diagnosis, treatment and care support to all cancer patients. Our clinic has 11-bed capacity, and our chemotherapy unit is a 24-bed capacity facility.

In our center, all solid organ tumors are treated. In particular lung, breast, prostate, colorectal, stomach and esophageal, melanomas, sarcomas, head and neck through to brain and neuroendocrine cancers. Cancer treatment decisions are made in the multidisciplinary tumor council, held weekly at a specified time.

Chemotherapy, hormonotherapy, target-specific smart molecules, biological treatments and immununio-theraphies are used in cancer treatment. Medications, used in cancer treatments, are applied to all solid organ tumors as individual treatments. Comprehensive testing is done utilizing the latest state-of-the-art diagnostic modalities within the field of molecular oncology.

Personalized local treatments are given through excellent multi-disciplinary coordination. Group input from radiation oncology, oncological surgery, gynecology, urology, pulmonology, interventional radiology and nuclear medicine departments help provide a holistic patient centered care plan.

In addition to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of cancer patients in our center;

  • We participate in multi-centered phase III clinical studies
  • We provide research assistant training in the field of internal diseases.
