How are refraction defects treated?

Refractive defects in the eyes are treated in a short time like a few minutes with the device called Excimer Laser. Excimer Laser is a laser device that produces ultraviolet light at 193nm wavelength using ArF gas and controls the beam according to the correction that needs to be done in the cornea, and has an advanced computer inside. Lasik (laser in situ keratomileusis) is not a solo procedure but a method used during the Excimer laser treatment. The feature of the light produced from the laser device is that it dissolves the carbon bonds between the molecules of the corneal tissue where it falls on, and removes the tissue in the desired area and amount, thus reshaping the cornea.
